I was skeptical at first when I saw Ellie was covering a Weeknd song. The Weeknd has such a unique voice and style that I don’t think I’ve heard a cover or remix that I’ve liked…until now. Ellie absolutely kills it. Xaphoon Jones is the man behind the beat, and honestly, the collaboration is just magical. Press play and you’ll know what I mean.
Clinton Sparks is quickly becoming one of my favorite producers. I was a huge fan of his most recent release – My Awesome Mixtape, and this song was one of the standouts within that mix, which is why I’m incredibly happy he decided to drop it individually. I love this remix because it maintains the integrity of the original while simultaneously enhancing it with classic EDM energy. Check it out, cop the free download, and look of for Clinton Sparks, he’s gonna do big things.
Just in time for Paradiso Festival, Avicii has blessed us with a string of new releases. “Superlove” is a remix of a Lenny Kravitz song that has all of Avicii’s trademark sounds. We’ll be bumping this as we count down the days til we’re back at the Gorge!
Avicii vs Lenny Kravitz – Superlove
I’ve been listening to a lot of sound remedy lately. I don’t know much about them except they’re from Los Angeles, and I like everything they’re producing. This a great remix of a classic song. A lot of their music is free on their soundcloud and website. Definitely check out their Lisa Mitchell “Neopolitan Dreams” as well.
PepsiCo is currently in the process of creating either a handful of remixes or one epic major remix of Michael Jackson’s hit Bad. They have commissioned A-Trak, Diplo, Skrillex, and Afrojack, but possibly more as well. There is going to be a bundle of Michael Jackson memorabilia distributed throughPepsi, from specially designed pepsi cans to a full length box set including a DVD. This is the first look at a leaked remix for the 25th anniversary remixes. I’m very excited to hear more from the other artists, but in the meantime enjoy the free one (beat drop 1:00).
